Old Eagle Point Hotel to Reopen
MEDFORD, Aug. 7.--The old Sunnyside Hotel at Eagle Point, one of Southern Oregon's most famous landmarks, abandoned since the death of Mrs. S. E. Howlett, will be reopened 'by Mrs. Emelia Jacobs, formerly of Hart Mountain in Eastern Oregon. The old inn is now being remodeled, redecorated and plumbed for the first time in its existence.
The remodeling will modernize the hotel, but in no way rob it of its old-fashioned charm, Mrs. Jacobs said, adding that it will still be a country hotel, featuring old-fashioned ranch cooking.
