The Southern Oregon Transcript

The Southern Oregon Transcript was Medford's second newspaper, surviving from July 22, 1887 until March 27, 1888. The whereabouts of surviving copies are unknown. A photocopy of one issue from 1887 can be found in the files of the Southern Oregon Historical Society and transcribed here. An 1888 issue can be found on microfilm on Miscellaneous Newspapers Reel 32 at the University of Oregon; this issue can also be viewed by clicking the links below. The original copy is on file at the Southern Oregon Historical Society Research Library in Medford, Oregon, M77F2.

Published by Charles Boynton Carlisle, the Transcript varied in format, judging from the two known copies.
